Profit from the “Deep State”

What creates a hot selling t-shirt?  I’ll repeat this formula time and time again: Passion + Current Event.  Is buzz about the deep state current? Are people passionate about it one way or the other? Uhmmm… yeah!  The beauty is that as a t-shirt seller you can sell based on your beliefs or if you don’t care about the issue one way or the other, you can sell based on other’s beliefs.  Either way, you profit!

So, what kind of t-shirts should you make and where should you find your inspiration?  The answer to both questions is the same: social media.

Get on Instagram and do a search for “deepstate”.  You could search other keywords too… “spies”, “Obama”, “Trump”... whatever you think are the buzz keywords.  I did a quick search and found this:

Again… doesn’t matter which side of the fence you’re on… there are people who would buy this slogan on a t-shirt!  If you scroll through the countless pages of Instagram posts, you’ll find more sources of inspiration. Just ask yourself the question - could I see someone wearing that on a t-shirt?

I like Instagram because it’s designed to be very visual.  However, with Twitter you’ve got two options:

1. Search for your keywords (e.g. deepstate, conspiracy, spying, brennan, obama, doj, spygate, FBI… whatever you can think of!) and filter by Photos.  You’ll get similar stuff to Instagram.
2. Instead of photos, look at top tweets.  You’ll get links to more news stories and opinions.

For the sake of this example, I’ll do a quick search of Twitter photos:

Again... regardless of your political bent, there are people who would wear this shirt.

In just 30 minutes one could easily come up with 10 t-shirt ideas based on this trending topic. I could go one with examples using FaceBook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc. but I think you get the idea.

REMINDER: When it comes to ideas like this, I don’t want them too spread out.  I don’t want to dilute my subscribers' potential for success. Luckily with this idea there are literally thousands of ideas that could come out of it.  However, when I have *very* specific ideas for hot sellers I’ll only be sharing them with premium members who have set up shop through my service.
