(Member Content) Tip #9 of 10 – Getting Technical

Silver Ball with Binary Code

This is part of a 10 minipost series called "10 Tried, Tested, Proven Ways to Make $100K/year Selling T Shirts Online" that will help you become a better t-shirt seller.

Not As Boring As It Looks, Really!

This is one of the most boring, but my actual favorite way of coming up with winning t shirt ideas.  Now, you’ll need a store that is selling t-shirts first. But, if you’re following https://www.graphicteecoach.com for a few weeks, you’re already there and you already understand the technical stuff below.  If you’re not… well you should be! So, here’s what you do…

You look at your sales data and your site traffic data.  As you’ve learned at graphicteecoach.com, the best way to get traffic to your site is through Google’s shopping channels.  If you log into AdWords and drill down into your shopping campaign you’ll see a wealth of data:

AdWords Data Screen Shot

This is a snapshot of search terms that people are using to find this particular store.  You can see how many ads are getting shown and how many actual clicks on your site are occurring for certain keywords.  Here’s the deal… all you need to do to increase your sales is to make more shirts associated with the keywords that are already causing traffic to go to your site.  It’s that easy. Look at this report, make shirts that work with the keywords, sell more shirts. It’s beautiful in it’s simplicity. Of all the t-shirt sellers I know, I would estimate that 1 in 20 of them does this.  Why the other 19 don’t I have no idea. All they’re doing is losing out on sales. Don’t be one of the 19!
